Medical notice: Yivo is a personal tracking service, not a medical device. It does not diagnose sleep apnea, prescribe or adjust treatment, or replace advice from a qualified healthcare professional.
A CPAP machine can report figures such as usage hours, AHI, leak rate, and pressure. Those figures are useful records, but a single night rarely explains how someone feels or why the numbers changed.
A diary can place machine readings beside sleep quality, equipment, and user-selected lifestyle notes. Its purpose is to help organize observations and prepare more specific questions for a healthcare appointment—not to prove that one factor caused a medical result.
What a Therapy Diary Can Record
According to Yivo, users can enter CPAP readings, rate how they feel, record equipment details, and choose additional factors they want to monitor over time.
- AHI, usage hours, leak rates, and pressure settings
- Self-reported sleep quality, mood, and morning observations
- CPAP machine, mask, accessory, and maintenance information
- Optional lifestyle notes and custom trackers selected by the user
Correlation is not causation
A pattern in personal diary data does not establish that a behavior, product, or equipment change caused an improvement or decline. Do not change CPAP settings, stop therapy, or make medical decisions based only on diary or AI-generated observations.
How Yivo Describes the Service
Yivo describes itself as a web-based sleep-apnea diary that can combine manually entered therapy readings with subjective check-ins, custom trackers, equipment records, and imported OSCAR data.
The provider also offers optional AI-generated observations. Its privacy policy says anonymised sleep summaries are sent to Google Gemini only when AI Tips are enabled. AI content may be inaccurate and is not medical advice.
A Closer Look at Yivo
The core diary is presented as a free service. Yivo's published plans list equipment tracking, a basic knowledge base, and maintenance reminders in the free tier.
Paid tiers add features such as OSCAR CSV import, data export, custom trackers, AI-powered observations, and other plan-specific tools. Some features shown on Yivo's site are still marked as in progress.
Yivo is operated by Xcadia Limited. The provider states that health data is stored on UK/EU servers using encryption and processed with explicit consent under its privacy policy.
Keep the clinician in the loop
Use recorded trends as discussion material. A qualified healthcare professional should interpret symptoms, assess treatment effectiveness, and advise on any change to therapy or equipment.
